The Star SP500 receipt printer is the replacement for the Star SP200 series receipt printer if you are printing single color receipts. We suggest that you use the Star SP700 series printer for 2 color receipt printing. The Star SP500 utilizes the same ribbons and paper as the Star SP200 receipt printer for easy replacement. The Star Micronics SP500 dot matrix receipt printer combines renowned reliability and a multitude of high end features into a compact, value-driven solution. It is capable of fast output, printing 40 columns at 4 lines per second. The Star SP500 receipt printer has a bi-directional, logic seeking mechanism resulting in an exceptional throughput. The Star SP500 receipt printer utilizes an internal power supply to enhance the compact footprint. The SP500 internal power supply cables can be neatly tucked away behind a protective cove. The Star SP500 receipt printers hinged cover, with its integrated spill channel, protects the printer from accidental liquid spills. Protection from the elements and the single color print feature of the Star SP500 receipt printer provides an excellent solution for retail, food service and kitchen applications.
